Inspector Megure suspects a museum worker, particularly Kubota, who has no alibi and a motive tied to financial disputes. Ultimately, Conan uncovers the truth behind the murderer's deception, despite the police discovering armor in Kubota's locker. |

File 3 - The Pen That Cannot Write | Kubota insists he is innocent while Conan investigates his framing. Iijima discovers the armor was a replica and that no artwork was damaged, suggesting a setup. Ochiai, an art lover, is implicated as he could destroy Kubota's alibi. Conan cleverly reveals that Ochiai has an inkless pen, leading to the conclusion that the name "Kubota" was written by the murderer. It turns out Manaka was trying to erase the name under the killer's direction. Ultimately, Ochiai confesses to killing Manaka to protect his art. Kogoro gains fame for solving the case, securing the gallery's future. |
File 4 - Running Into The Two | Kogoro is traveling to a wedding in Kyoto with Ran and Conan. Ran criticizes Kogoro's behavior and he tries to avoid questions about Conan's parents. Conan remembers being shrunk by men in black, who unexpectedly appear on the train. They ignore him, and he plans to steal a drug sample to help him grow back. Later, Conan attempts to spy on them, but Ran catches him. From a hidden microphone, Conan learns the men are named Gin and Vodka and that they are involved in a bomb plot connected to a large sum of money. Gin reveals the bomb is set to go off at 3:10 PM, leaving Conan to figure out which passenger has the bomb within the limited time left.
File 5 - The Four In The Green Car | With time running out, Conan leaves Ran to warn the train crew about a bomb, but they ignore him. He can't check every black case on the train but remembers a clue about a contact of Gin and Vodka being in a non-smoking car on the second level. He identifies four passengers with black cases: an office worker, a businesswoman, an old man, and a brutish man. His attempts to question the first three fail, as they either guard their possessions or are unhelpful. The brutish man's briefcase, surprisingly, contains underwear. After causing a disturbance, Conan is thrown out of the car, and Ran finds him, bringing him back with only 14 minutes left to solve the case and three suspects to investigate.
File 6 - Last 10 Seconds of Terror | Conan recalls that the bomb is not a time-bomb and will be triggered accidentally by the suspect. With only 30 seconds before detonation, he suspects the businesswoman is carrying the bomb after she lies about her seat's view. He abandons revealing his identity to Ran, who restricts him, and instead rushes to the deck when he realizes the bomb could be triggered by a phone call. Using his Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes, Conan kicks the briefcase containing the bomb out of the train window just before it explodes harmlessly. After the incident, while Ran confronts him, the police arrive, but the bomb-holder knows little about the men in black, leaving Conan with only the names Gin and Vodka, which he vows to remember as he hunts them down.
File 7 - Code Sheet Obtained!! | Conan takes Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko on a museum trip. Genta finds a strange paper with symbols and the word "Oro," leading the group to think it's a treasure map. Unknown to them, three men are secretly watching, looking for the paper.
File 8 - The ABC’s of Deciphering | The group examines a map that features symbols resembling real-life objects, leading them to a clothing store, but they find no clues. Conan discovers a clue at a bookstore, learning that "Oro" means gold in Italian, suggesting the map could lead to treasure. Kogoro dismisses news about a Dino Cavanne, while Ayumi theorizes the symbols represent signs near the Tohto Tower. Conan believes the moon symbol points to Moonview Street, inferring the map connects the Tower to an Aquarium, and they ponder what lies at the map's end.
File 9 - The Answer and Another Answer | The group searches for the fifth symbol on a map that seems to be written in Italian. Conan realizes they need to start over because the writer likely intended for the symbols to represent neon signs, particularly a neon fish sign, rather than a literal fish. Despite being in a downtown area, Mitsuhiko points out that a river is nearby, which helps Conan make the connection.
File 10 - The Shining Fish’s True Form | Conan reveals that the fish illusion can only be seen from a specific building. He discovers coins in a ceiling bag while Cavanne's accomplices capture the Detective Boys. They manage to escape, report to the police, and the criminals are arrested before waking up. Following their first case resolution, Genta and Mitsuhiko take credit, but Ayumi praises Conan and kisses him, making the boys jealous. Ran finds the moment cute, while Conan feels embarrassed. |
